Ramadan, fasting month in Islam, begins this week in most countries. Please pray for Muslims to see the light of Jesus and for new believers to stand strong against all the challenges they face during this month. "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." 2 Corinthians 4:4

During the month of Ramadan, Muslims fast with the goal of receiving forgiveness and becoming more acceptable in the sight of Allah (Allah is simply the Arabic word for "God"). Because Muslims believe that the Quran was given as a revelation during this month, many are also more spiritually open at this time, hoping to receive divine revelation, dreams, or visions.

While Ramadan can be an opportune time for Satan to sow seeds of deception, it can also be an opportune time for God to reveal His Truth.

At this time of unprecedented spiritual openness, let's pray for God to open the eyes of Muslims to the Truth that no Islamic ritual can make sinful people holy before a righteous God; only the blood of Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, can save.

It's a beautiful and divine mystery that God continues to use dreams and visions to draw Muslims to faith in Jesus Christ. At Leading The Way we hear these stories regularly. Let's pray for:

Our sovereign God to open the eyes of Muslims and soften their hearts to the Truth of Christ.

Muslims to have dreams of Jesus Christ this month and come to the knowledge of the true Savior.

God to create a deep spiritual hunger in the hearts of Muslims as they watch our broadcasts, compelling them to call our follow-up teams to know more about Jesus Christ and the Christian faith.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that no one can come to You unless You draw them, so I pray first that You would sovereignly draw the lost to Yourself this month during Ramadan. Thank you, Lord, for all the ways You are already revealing Yourself in the Muslim world. As Muslims fast, open their hearts to the Truth in Christ. Remove the “scales" on their eyes as you did with the Apostle Paul (Acts 9:18). While Muslims experience physical hunger, create a deeper spiritual hunger for the Truth within them that cannot be satisfied by the rituals and false religion of Islam, but only by a relationship with the Living God. Use Leading The Way's broadcasts and follow-up to reach those who are in spiritual bondage. Thank You in advance for what You are going to do. Thank You for Your grace, Your love, and Your relentless pursuit. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
