Along with partners committed to changing the world, Dr. Michael Youssef is leading the way for people living in spiritual darkness to discover the light of Christ. By passionately proclaiming uncompromising Truth through creative methods, Leading The Way’s international team of experts is uniquely providing hope that is revolutionizing lives here at home and around the world.

Now celebrating 35 years of ministry, Leading The Way’s television and radio programs are broadcast in 28 languages to audiences across six continents through dual-language programs, Leading The Way‘s satellite television channel THE KINGDOM SAT, and solar-powered Leading The Way Navigators.

Leading The Way also produces podcasts, books, a monthly Christian magazine, and daily e-devotionals to reach the lost and equip believers in their faith. The ministry utilizes field ministry teams to evangelize seekers and disciple new believers. Dr. Youssef’s unique perspective has given him a platform to speak boldly into today’s issues and provide Biblical solutions to the challenges Christians are facing today.

A Unique Calling

Dr. Michael Youssef

Even before he was born, it was evident that God had a vision for Michael Amerhom Youssef.

Against doctors’ recommendations to terminate the at-risk pregnancy, his parents chose life after God intervened, sending the family pastor to reassure them that this child would be “born to serve the Lord.” His mother gave birth and lived to see him surrender his life to the Lord in 1964 at age 16.

Our History

1988

The beginning of a legacy

Dr. Michael Youssef preaching at the Church of The Apostles in Atlanta, GA.

A founding member of the church encourages Dr. Youssef to setup a radio ministry. Dr. Youssef says, “We don’t need another preacher on the radio.” His colleagues persist and Dr. Youssef obliges.

1989

Local radio broadcasts begin

Designed to share the Good News with the unchurched and invite people to The Church of The Apostles, the church begins producing and airing short, Biblical teaching lessons to Atlanta audiences.

1996

Leading The Way goes global

Dr. Michael Youssef interviewing Muslim convert to Christianity

Dr. Youssef teams with his former English teacher, Baki Sadaka, to air his sermons in English followed by an Arabic translation. Field ministry teams are established to accommodate the overwhelming response.

2000

Leading The Way TV is launched

Dr. Michael Youssef and Ben Haden of Changed Lives

Ben Haden of Changed Lives shares, “For the past two and a half years, the Lord has been telling me to give you my radio and TV ministry.” After much prayer, Dr. Youssef decides to trust and obey. Programs begin airing in the United States and in the Middle East.

2009

THE KINGDOM SAT goes on air

Five years after the Lord gives Dr. Youssef a vision for a 24/7 Biblical teaching channel reaching the Muslim world, the channel is launched. Follow-up continues to expand to accommodate the response.

2009

Navigators cross the technological divide

Indigenous people receiving solar powered pocket missionaries

Leading The Way partners with MegaVoice to create the solar-powered Navigator audio device, reaching remote areas with God’s Word. The first Navigators are shipped to Albania and Indonesia.

2018

Leading The Way announces Vision 2025

Dr. Youssef introduces Vision 2025, a strategic plan for ministry expansion featuring seven groundbreaking initiatives to reach the world for Christ.

2019

Leading The Way launches the Candid podcast

Dr. Jonathan Youssef host of Candid Conversations Christian Podcast

With the goal of targeting a new generation, Dr. Youssef’s son Jonathan launches a new podcast bringing Biblical clarity to cultural issues.

2023

Evangelistic Celebrations begin

Dr. Youssef launches a new ministry outreach: city-wide Celebrations designed to impact entire communities for Christ.

2024

An Open Door
