NEW BOOK FROM DR. YOUSSEF

As we begin a new year, God's Word holds special promise for us:

"Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' So we may boldly say:

'The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?'" Hebrews 13:5-6, NKJV

Our God is the faithful God who will never leave us.

This promise held true for your past year. This promise holds for your new year. And this promise endures for your eternity. Our God is the faithful God who will never leave us.

Let this good word uplift you for the new year. Let it transform your heart and renew your mind as you embrace contentment, companionship, and courage in Christ. Let it transform your inward thoughts and motivate your outward actions, that you might serve the Lord as an ambassador for Christ this year.

Next, consider what plans God has for you in the new year. In what ways is He working within you to make you more like Christ? In what ways may He be calling you to serve?

Take a moment to seek the Lord's direction and record your prayers.

  1. Write a prayer asking the Lord to lead you this year to be made new in the attitude of your mind—your inward thoughts (see Ephesians 4:22-24).
  2. Write a prayer asking the Lord to lead you to minister His love and hope to those in your midst out of the overflow of His transforming work in your spirit.

As you look back over the prayers you have written, thank God for His renewing Spirit in your life and go into 2022 rejoicing in His faithfulness and love.
