Join us for a 2-week Bible reading plan savoring the freedom found in Christ.

When the Bible speaks about freedom, it is not talking about our individual, personal rights to live as we choose. The Bible is concerned with a deeper, more glorious freedom: freedom from the bondage of sin and freedom to live in relationship with Almighty God for our utmost good and pleasure.

Over the next two weeks, take some time to meditate on the wonder of the complete and eternal freedom Christ has won for you on the cross.

Leading The Way

The Bible is concerned with a deeper, more glorious freedom.

day 1

Jesus came to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners—us. Read Isaiah 61:1-3 and Luke 4:14-21.

We are forgiven—justified before God—through Jesus Christ alone. Read Acts 13:38-39.

day 3

Christ’s blood has made us pure and righteous, without blemish and free from accusation before God. Read Colossians 1:15-23.

day 4

Now, by the Spirit, we can see the Truth and are free to be transformed into the likeness of Christ. Read 2 Corinthians 3:13-18.

day 5

We are no longer slaves, but children and heirs of God. Read Galatians 3:22-4:7.

day 6

We are no longer slaves, but children and heirs of God. Read Galatians 3:22-4:7.

day 7

We can freely and confidently approach God—the Lord of Hosts—through faith in Jesus Christ. Read Ephesians 3:7-12.

day 8

We have been set free from sin and become slaves to righteousness by God’s grace. Read Romans 6:16-23.

day 9

In Christ, we are free from the need to perform, free to live godly lives because we belong to God. Read 1 Peter 2:11-17.

day 10

True freedom is found in God’s wisdom and ways. Read Psalm 119:41-48.

day 11

Christ has freed us to live as children of God—children who love freely as He loves. Read Galatians 5:1, 13-14.

day 12

We are set free from the law of sin and death to live according to the Spirit. Read Romans 7:14-8:4.

day 13

Creation will be freed from its bondage and brought into the freedom and glory of God’s children. Read Romans 8:18-25.

day 14

There is no greater freedom than to be welcome in the presence of the Lord, to be loved by Him with an everlasting, unchanging, faithful love. Read Psalm 118:1-7.
