Save for Later

In this four-part series, Dr. Michael Youssef delivers Biblical encouragement for believers living in troubling and uncertain days. Drawing from the Psalms of King David, he reminds us that appearances can deceive, but the Word of God reveals eternal Truth. When evil seems to prosper and the righteous suffer, Scripture calls God’s people to trust the Lord, reject envy, and rest in His perfect justice. Through repentance, steadfast faith, and unwavering confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ, believers discover that God never forsakes His children. As His Word dwells richly in our hearts, we are strengthened to resist discouragement, intercede for the lost, and proclaim the saving Gospel until Christ returns.

Encouraging Words in Discouraging Times (Part 2)

Do Not Fret Over Evil

In this message from Psalm 37, Dr. Michael Youssef calls believers to resist discouragement when evil appears to prosper and righteousness seems ignored. Written by King David in his later years, this Psalm reminds God’s people that appearances are temporary but the Word of God is eternally True. Scripture commands believers not to fret, but to delight in the Lord, commit their ways to Him, and trust His perfect justice. Those who belong to Jesus Christ must reject envy and anger, submit their hearts in repentance, and live with meekness—power under the control of the Holy Spirit. Though the wicked may flourish for a moment, their end is judgment. Therefore, believers must intercede with tears for the lost and proclaim the saving Gospel of Christ before the day of reckoning comes.
