AWAKE DC: Response to Revival Message Overwhelms the Altar
At AWAKE DC, over a thousand believers came together in the heart of our nation to glorify the name of Jesus and unite for a Third Great Awakening. Approximately 10,000 people viewed the livestream online, with thousands more tuning in LIVE on Leading The Way’s KINGDOM SAT TV channel in the Middle East—taking Dr. Youssef’s urgent message worldwide.
At the historic DAR Constitution Hall, the spiritual hunger was palpable. Worship leaders Garett and Kate lifted hearts in songs that glorified Christ, while Tauren Wells guided a moving time of prayer, inviting attendees to open their hearts to the Holy Spirit’s work.
Dr. Youssef delivered a powerful message from Matthew 25 on the parable of the wise and foolish virgins, emphasizing that salvation cannot be inherited or written off as a one-time decision that fails to permeate your life; we must know Christ personally, lest He say, “Truly I tell you, I don’t know you” (Matthew 25:12).
“This is the day of your awakening,” Dr. Youssef urged, inspiring believers to respond with repentance and complete surrender, emphasizing that revival must begin in our own hearts.
The altar could not contain those coming forward, and prayer groups spilled into the hallways as Prayer Teams ministered to attendees and as attendees even prayed for one another.
This was AWAKE DC, the second stop in Dr. Michael A. Youssef’s city-wide AWAKE America rallies, igniting a spark of revival in the heart of our nation.

Our faithful God drew people from across all ages, ethnicities, and denominations to encounter His love and revive His Church.
Many pastors like to appeal to the masses and lead them to believe a false gospel. It was refreshing to hear a convicting message about [true] salvation. It was amazing to see God moving outside of just my local area.

Generational Impact
AWAKE DC was a multigenerational movement. Entire families and groups of young people served together, whether distributing materials or ministering on Prayer Teams. One woman who served as an usher shared that she had been listening to Dr. Youssef’s messages for 28 years and was working there at the event alongside her daughter.

AWAKE DC was sustained by the faithful intercession of ministry partners, unified prayer among the Leading The Way team, and dedicated Prayer Teams who ministered to attendees following Dr. Youssef’s closing invitation. After the event, organic prayer groups formed in hallways, as attendees continued lifting one another and the nation before the Lord. We are grateful for this movement born of prayer—may it continue across the nation!
