Ancient Women Speaking to Our Generation

Share

In this four-part series, Dr. Michael A. Youssef explores the powerful lessons modern believers can learn from faithful women in Scripture. Through the lives of Hannah, Jochebed, and Esther, he reveals how God uses ordinary people who trust Him to accomplish extraordinary purposes. From Hannah’s brokenhearted persistence in prayer, to Jochebed’s courageous faith in protecting and preparing her son Moses, to Esther’s bold obedience in a moment of crisis, each message highlights timeless Truths about surrender, faith, courage, and God’s sovereign calling. These Biblical examples challenge today’s generation to trust God in difficult circumstances, raise the next generation in Truth, and step forward with courage to meet the needs God places before us—for such a time as this.

Ancient Women Speaking to Our Generation (Part 1)

Live a Life of Prayer

In this opening message, Dr. Michael Youssef calls believers to a life of urgent, persistent prayer by pointing to Hannah’s example in 1 Samuel. Her suffering did not lead to bitterness but to brokenness before God—and that brokenness became the pathway to divine blessing. Scripture reveals that God alone hears and answers, and He honors those who seek Him with repentant, surrendered hearts. Hannah’s prayer produced Samuel, a servant in God’s redemptive plan leading to Christ, the Savior. This message confronts complacency and calls the Church to return to fervent intercession, trusting the authority of God’s Word and His sovereign power to accomplish His purposes for His Kingdom.
