An Open Door in the Middle East

Ahmed was raised in Saudi Arabia—home to Mecca, the birthplace of Muhammad, toward which over a billion Muslims turn to pray five times a day and to which millions of Muslims make pilgrimages each year. Growing up, Ahmed encountered anger and revenge in the teachings of Islam. His life changed after he saw a video of 21 Egyptian Christians beheaded by ISIS militants on a beach in Libya.

“Their unwavering faith in Jesus Christ had a profound impact on me,” Ahmed says. “I decided to explore Christianity despite the risks.”

In Jesus’ teachings about love, forgiveness, and salvation, Ahmed discovered a stark contrast to the violent commands of jihad. Then, a friend told him about Leading The Way‘s 24/7 satellite TV channel, THE KINGDOM SAT.

“THE KINGDOM SAT’s Biblical teaching helped me grow in my understanding of the Christian faith,” Ahmed says. “I began to understand who Christ truly is. He answered my prayers and revealed Himself to me.”

Longing for salvation—something Islam could never provide—Ahmed reached out to Leading The Way‘s Field Team and surrendered his life to the Lord. “Everything has changed,” he says. “Peace now fills my soul.”

Amid chaos in the region—crumbling regimes, families caught in the crossfire, and millions fleeing war—people in the Middle East are desperate for freedom, hope, and Truth. The only solution is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Middle East is one of the least-evangelized regions of the world, with hundreds of millions living in spiritual darkness. Yet, by God’s grace, Leading The Way is there, breaking down barriers to the Gospel, such as illiteracy and misconceptions about Jesus. Now celebrating 16 years of continuous 24/7 broadcasting to 260+ million homes, THE KINGDOM SAT is expanding with laser focus: producing new Arabic-language programs, increasing our Field Team presence, and developing more online discipleship offerings.
