Save for Later

In What Is It Like Down Under?, Dr. Michael Youssef leads listeners through Solomon’s urgent warning in Ecclesiastes: life “under the sun”—life without God—is empty, restless, and passing away. Pleasure, wealth, achievement, knowledge, power, and even religion without surrender to God cannot satisfy the soul. But life “above the sun,” lived under the authority of God’s inerrant Word and in fellowship with Jesus Christ, brings true joy, wisdom, purpose, and eternal assurance. In this six-part series, Dr. Youssef calls every listener to repent of chasing what cannot save, fear God, and live for His glory while interceding for those still trapped in the futility of life apart from Christ.

What Is It Like Down Under? (Part 6)

Fear God and Live

Dr. Michael Youssef brings Ecclesiastes to its final, uncompromising conclusion: life under the sun is futile, but life in the risen Jesus Christ is worth living. Solomon declares that life is a stewardship to invest wisely, a celebration to receive with gratitude, a school for spiritual growth, and a responsibility before God. Scripture is inerrant and clear: fear God and obey His commands. Only Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, gives meaning, forgiveness, and eternal hope. Sinners must repent and surrender to His Lordship. Believers must intercede for those chasing nothing, praying they will stop living under the sun and live above the sun for God’s glory.
