Save for Later

In What Is It Like Down Under?, Dr. Michael Youssef leads listeners through Solomon’s urgent warning in Ecclesiastes: life “under the sun”—life without God—is empty, restless, and passing away. Pleasure, wealth, achievement, knowledge, power, and even religion without surrender to God cannot satisfy the soul. But life “above the sun,” lived under the authority of God’s inerrant Word and in fellowship with Jesus Christ, brings true joy, wisdom, purpose, and eternal assurance. In this six-part series, Dr. Youssef calls every listener to repent of chasing what cannot save, fear God, and live for His glory while interceding for those still trapped in the futility of life apart from Christ.

What Is It Like Down Under? (Part 3)

Eternity in the Heart

Dr. Michael Youssef proclaims Solomon’s warning that time is God’s gift and cannot be reclaimed. Life under the sun sees only confusion, sorrow, injustice, and loss. But life above the sun sees God’s sovereign hand making all things beautiful in His time. Because Scripture is inerrant, believers can trust God’s promises even when they cannot see His full purpose. Through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, sinners must repent and receive eternal rest. God has placed eternity in every human heart, and only Christ can satisfy it. Therefore, believers must intercede for the lost, praying they will leave emptiness under the sun and live under God’s authority.
