Save for Later

In Parenting 911, Dr. Michael Youssef calls parents back to their God-given responsibility: raising children whose hearts belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. With urgent Biblical clarity, Dr. Youssef warns that outward performance, good behavior, and church attendance cannot replace repentance, grace, and true faith in Christ. Through Luke 15 and the warning of Judges 2, he shows parents how to model godliness, discipline without crushing the spirit, pray and intercede for their children, and point both defiant and outwardly compliant hearts to the only Savior. This series is a bold call to parent the heart for the glory of God.

Parenting 911 (Part 4)

The Outwardly Compliant Child

In The Outwardly Compliant Child, Dr. Michael Youssef warns that outward obedience can hide a heart far from God. Scripture is inerrant, and Luke 15 shows that both the defiant son and the bitter older son needed grace, repentance, and salvation. Parents must not mistake church attendance, good manners, or rule-keeping for true love for the Lord Jesus Christ. The divine Son of God died for open rebellion and hidden resentment alike. Parents must pray with their children, teach the whole Bible story of creation, fall, redemption, and new life in Christ, and intercede that their children receive God’s grace, not merely perform for approval.
