Save for Later

God established marriage for our blessing, our holiness, and our Gospel witness. In Marriage: The Way God Intended It, Dr. Michael Youssef calls believers back to the inerrant Word of God, where marriage is revealed as God’s created order: one man and one woman joined by Him in a sacred, exclusive, and lasting union. This series confronts divorce, passivity, selfishness, rebellion, and discontentment while calling husbands, wives, singles, and families to repent, intercede, and obey Christ. As homes come under attack, God’s people must stand on Biblical Truth, trust the power of the Holy Spirit, and honor the Lord Jesus Christ in marriage, family, and singleness.

Marriage: The Way God Intended It (Part 5)

Marriage, Divorce, and the Single Lifestyle

In Marriage, Divorce, and the Single Lifestyle, Dr. Michael Youssef points believers back to the inerrant Word of God for wisdom on marriage, divorce, and singleness. Paul teaches that a believing spouse must not abandon an unbelieving spouse who is willing to remain, because God often blesses families through one faithful believer. Singles must not live under shame, and married believers must not live in discontentment. Christ, the Son of God, must be first in every home and every life. Believers must repent of restlessness, intercede for divided families, and trust God’s purpose in their calling. God’s design brings contentment, holiness, and Gospel strength.
