Save for Later

If God is in control, why does your life still feel broken, hidden, delayed, or under attack? In this 4-part series, Dr. Michael Youssef turns to the inerrant Word of God and the life of Elijah to show that the Lord is never absent, confused, or defeated. He hides His servants to prepare them, calls one obedient believer to stand with courage, teaches His people to bring their “why” questions to Him in prayer, and strengthens faith through obedience and intercession. This series calls believers to repent of fear, unbelief, and divided loyalty, and to trust the divine Lord Jesus Christ, who reigns sovereignly even when life looks like a mess.

If God is in Control, Why is My Life Such a Mess? (Part 1)

When God Hides You

In this opening message, Dr. Michael Youssef shows that God’s sovereignty is not weakened when His servants are hidden, tested, or brought to the end of themselves. Through Elijah, Scripture declares that God prepares His people in secret before using them in public. The Lord hid Elijah by the brook of Cherith, not to waste him, but to protect him, strip away self-reliance, and teach him total dependence. God still calls believers to repent of hidden idols, trust the inerrant Word, intercede with bold faith, and stand uncompromisingly for Christ. Even when life looks like a mess, the Lord Jesus Christ reigns, provides, and prepares His people for Kingdom service.
