Save for Later

In this 9-part series, Dr. Michael Youssef leads you through the life of Jacob to show how fear deceives, but the sovereign grace of God frees, restores, and overrules. From Jacob’s scheming and family strife to his Bethel encounter, surrender, restitution, and final struggle against unbelief, the inerrant Word of God reveals that the Almighty is never defeated by human failure. His covenant promise stands firm, pointing to Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God and the only Savior. This series calls believers to repent of self-rule, reject fear and false guilt, intercede with faith, and trust God’s perfect timing. Even through weakness, scars, and spiritual warfare, God brings His will to pass for His glory.

Fear Deceives, Grace Frees (Part 1)

The Overruling Grace of God

In this opening message, Dr. Michael Youssef shows from the inerrant Word of God that His sovereign grace overrules human sin, fear, and failure. Isaac and Rebekah knew God’s promise that “the older will serve the younger,” yet fear, favoritism, and distrust poisoned their home. Esau despised his birthright, and Jacob tried to seize by scheming what God had already promised by grace. Yet the Almighty God was not defeated by their sin. His will stood firm. This message calls believers to repent of favoritism, trust God’s timing, intercede for their children, and rest in the grace that comes through Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God.
