Save for Later

In Defeating the Enemies of Success, Dr. Michael Youssef declares that true success is found only in discovering the will of God and obeying it with unwavering faith. Through this four-part series, he exposes three deadly enemies—discouragement, spiritual detours, and doubt—that Satan uses to derail believers from the path of holiness and fruitfulness. With bold clarity rooted in the inerrant Word of God, Dr. Youssef calls Christians to reject worldly definitions of success, repent of compromise, flee temptation, and anchor their confidence in the sovereign Lord Jesus Christ. This series equips believers to walk in obedience, stand firm in Truth, and intercede for a world desperate for the Gospel.

Defeating the Enemies of Success (Part 3)

Escaping Spiritual Detours

In this sobering message, Dr. Michael Youssef warns that spiritual detours rarely come with warning signs—they begin with a single longing look away from God’s will. Using the tragic path of Lot in Genesis 13, Dr. Youssef exposes how small compromises grow into deep bondage when sin is not confronted. Lot moved from looking toward Sodom, to living near Sodom, to becoming part of its wickedness—proof that a divided heart will always lead to destruction. Dr. Youssef calls believers to repent of secret wanderings, flee temptation as Joseph did, and destroy every trace of Sodom within by the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. This episode urges God’s people to return to the narrow road of obedience and intercede boldly for those still trapped in spiritual detours.
