Save for Later

In this four-part series, Dr. Michael Youssef delivers Biblical encouragement for believers living in troubling and uncertain days. Drawing from the Psalms of King David, he reminds us that appearances can deceive, but the Word of God reveals eternal Truth. When evil seems to prosper and the righteous suffer, Scripture calls God’s people to trust the Lord, reject envy, and rest in His perfect justice. Through repentance, steadfast faith, and unwavering confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ, believers discover that God never forsakes His children. As His Word dwells richly in our hearts, we are strengthened to resist discouragement, intercede for the lost, and proclaim the saving Gospel until Christ returns.

Encouraging Words in Discouraging Times (Part 4)

Treasuring The Word of God

In the final message of this series, Dr. Michael Youssef declares that the believer’s greatest defense in discouraging times is the living Word of God. Psalm 119 reveals that Scripture is not merely information—it is God’s Truth that cleanses the heart, guards the mind, and corrects the life. Because the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and points to Jesus Christ, the divine Savior, believers must treasure it, speak it, and live it. When the Word dwells deeply within us, it strengthens us against temptation and despair. God’s people are therefore called to repent of neglecting Scripture and allow it to rule their thoughts and actions. As we proclaim and obey God’s Word, we intercede for a lost world and stand firm until Christ returns.
