When Philip realized that Jesus, the long-awaited Messiah, had come, he couldn’t help but issue the joyous invitation to others: "Come and see" (John 1:46).
On April 27, 2024, Dr. Michael Youssef will be extending that same urgent invitation at Beto Ávila Baseball Stadium, a 9,000-seat venue in the heart of Veracruz, Mexico.
Will you pray for Leading The Way’s upcoming Evangelistic Celebration in Veracruz?
You may be surprised to know that Mexico has something in common with the Middle East: Mexico is a difficult place to be a follower of Christ. With the rise of criminal organizations and cartels, churches are often seen as threats to their operation—or are even targets of extortion.
Many Mexicans also have an understanding of Christian tradition without a foundational understanding of the Gospel. In fact, only 10% of people in Mexico are evangelical Christians. But there is good news: That number is growing at a rapid pace.
With spiritual hunger rising in Mexico, and Christians in need of encouragement, will you pray for Leading The Way‘s upcoming Evangelistic Celebration in Veracruz? This Celebration will also feature a special outreach for youth, a demographic that has responded overwhelmingly to Dr. Youssef’s past Celebrations. In fact, roughly 4,000 youth attended the Egypt Celebration, and half of those who made decisions for Christ at the Middle Georgia Celebration were age 25 and under.
Please pray as Dr. Youssef prepares to proclaim the Good News of Jesus to many who may have a cultural understanding of Christianity but do not know Christ personally. May the masses "grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ" (Ephesians 3:18)!
